180 MM HEIGHT WALL PROTECTION RAIL

Description: The selected wall protection rail (LINEA’PUNCH manufactured by Gerflor) is flat, smooth with a central boss 180 mm deep and projects 25 mm. Its smooth and antibacterial PVC profile is 2.5 mm thick with solid colour. The upper and lower parts of the profile are bevelled and edged with strengthened lips to hold the profile tightly against the wall and minimise dust traps. The ends of these wall protection rails are closed by slim bevelled end-pieces (16.5 mm wide). Wall fixing is by aluminium brackets or continuous rail, made more robust by an exclusive ‘omega’ shape.

A protective film is specified to minimise cleaning before acceptance.

This wall protection rail achieves Bs2d0 fire-rating and an impact resistance in excess of 110 Joules, i.e., an impact of more than 320 kg travelling at 3 kmh.

The LINEA’PUNCH PVC is 100% antibacterial, 100% washable and 100% decontaminable (to level IV on the Institut Pasteur rating). Its VOC emissions are very low (level A+), 700 times lower than the European regulatory requirement (VOC over 3 days). No heavy metals are used in its formulation, including lead or tin (insignificant levels, less than 50 ppm) or any CMR Cat 1 or 2 substances. The calcium-zinc thermal stabilisation process is used and the REACH compliance certificate is required. 100% of the product are recyclable. The end piece colours are the same as the profile of the wall protection rail.

Colour: selected by architects from 31 standard manufacturer’s colours.

Installation method: To provide the best protection, the profile’s centre-line should be 800 mm above floor level for mid-level wall protection or on top of the skirting for low-level wall protection. It may be clipped to aluminium ‘4-point’ brackets spaced at 750 mm centres (max) or fitted onto a continuous aluminium rail.
