ANODISED LINEA’TOUCH – 40 mm width
Description: The selected handrail (LINEA’TOUCH manufactured by Gerflor) is a trilobed satin silver anodised handrail with a cross section from 28 to 40 mm to give it an ergonomic and anti-rotation design. It is 42 mm deep and projects 80 mm from the wall. The axial position of its brackets provide an excellent handhold. It consists of a 2 mm continuous aluminium profile and a closer underneath. Various accessories in silver tone PVC (flat or bevelled endcaps, classic or extended and curved wall returns) are available to finish the handrail assembly. All technical solutions are available to ensure continuity around corners (90° or made to measure), in staircases (Rapid’Angle 3-way “universal joints” rotation), across service ducts (Quick-removable assembly wedge) and around curved sections (pre-curved in the factory).
These antibacterial PVC accessories connect to the profile with joiner pieces supplied with flexible bactericidal joints. Wall fixing is by 20 mm refined aluminium brackets with 2 self-locking attachment points. A protective film is specified to minimise cleaning before acceptance.
This handrail achieves Bs2d0 fire-rating and an impact resistance in excess of 70 Joules, i.e., an impact of more than 220 kg travelling at 2 kmh. The PVC of the accessories of LINEA’TOUCH is 100% antibacterial, 100% washable and 100% decontaminable (to level IV on the Institut Pasteur rating). Its VOC emissions are very low (level A+), 700 times lower than the European regulatory requirement (VOC
over 3 days). No heavy metals are used in its formulation, including lead or tin (insignificant levels, less than 50 ppm) or any CMR Cat 1 or 2 substances. The calcium-zinc stabilisation process is used and a REACH compliance100% of the product are recyclable.

Installation sequence: Recommended installation is at 900 mm above floor level (to the top of handrail). Depending on the type of wall, the type of attachments used and the distance between 2 brackets may vary between 800 and 1200 mm.
